Chevrolet Optra Estate not an ordinary estate

Chevrolet used the 2005 Bangkok International Motor Expo as a platform to introduce a couple of appealing new vehicle models.

One of the vehicles introduced was the Optra Estate 1.6 AT wagon, which was derived from the Chevrolet Optra compact sedan. The wagon boasts of an impressive 11 kilometers per liter fuel consumption making it a practical and economical choice for consumers especially with the high fuel prices.

The interior features a newly designed 2-tone front console, with a tilt-adjusting steering column that allows driving convenience and comfort.

The Optra Estate 1.6 AT design features include a 60-40 split-folding rear seatback for both people- and cargo-moving functionality, and it's also the first car in its class equipped with a compact cold box conveniently located in the front compartment.The exterior design offers a modern and attractive look, and a luxurious new chrome-finished front grill that features the Chevy 'bow-tie' logo. The exterior also includes the addition of full-surrounding aero-part spoiler kits, body-colored handles, and sporty new alloy wheels and wheel covers.

The Optra Estate 1.6 AT wagon is available with both 5-speed automatic and manual transmission, and is equipped with a 1.6 L E-Tec II 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine that generates 107 hp, delivering increased performance and lower fuel consumption.

The Estate Wagon features the unique Euro-Ride Tuning Suspension shock-absorbing system, which is specially designed to accommodate load distribution for any road condition, and 15-inch alloy wheels for enhanced grip on the road.

Safety is also ensured through a drivers-side air bag, and ABS disk brakes with Electronic brake-distribution system. Additional value-added equipment, such as a front air-bag, adjustable power steering wheel, and a CD player with front tuner and six speakers, are also available.
